The Bag of 50 sponges can be used to refill a tray or used on their own on net pots with hydro-clay. They work also on bed of perlite or vermiculite. ROOTIT Sead sponges work also great with soild, coco and peat growing.

The sponges are environmentally friendly and biodegradable whilst also containing micronutrients and beneficial microbes to aid germination. They have superior nutrient absorption and easily maintains a perfect air to water ratio. They also insulate roots better against heat or lack of moisture. The bag is resealable to help ensure that each ROOT!T Natural Rooting Sponge is kept in perfect condition.

The seeds can be directly grown on sponges + Net pots and Supragarden systems, but The best germination can be achieved in a mini greenhouse that is slightly heated. Some plants, such as chili seeds, require a warm (about 26 degree) environment for sprouting, while salads sprout better in cooler weather.

Soak sponge plug with the damp nutrient solution before planting seeds or cuttings there. Make sure the sponge remains damp until it is put to the Supragarden® system with automated watering.
