How does Supragarden work?
Supragarden grow system is a versatile Hydroponic system with led lights for growing. The water pump lifts the water with hydroponic nutrients from the water tank to the highest Plantsteps®. The water flows inside steps, feeding the plant roots and returns to the water tank for next round.
The same hydroponic grow technology is used with commercial green houses. Hydroponic growing can save up to 70% of the water compared to soil growing and most plants really flourish with hydroponics. More about hydroponics >>>
Plants grow in Plantsteps and on top of Suprabase unit.
Modular Plantsteps make it easy to expand the size and shape of the vertical food garden or green wall.

The Supragarden® system consists of the following components:
Plantsteps®
The patented Finnish innovation "Plantsteps" are modular NFT channels for vertical plant growing. They are made of durable and food grade PE polyethylene plastic. Plantsteps can be easily attached to each other and with them, Supragarden and green walls can be easily assembled in many sizes and shapes.
LED lighting system
The Supragarden® system includes LED lights that are typically placed underneath each step to illuminate the lower level.
The LED light spectrum is designed in such a way that the lights are suitable for decoration use and at the same time enhance the growth of the plants.
SupraBase, Nursery level and the water tank unit
The Nursery level and the water tank together form the base for Plantsteps and are the heart of the Supragarden system. You can attach up to 6 Plantsteps directly to the Nursery level. Learn more about Nurcery level and water tank product features.
On top of the Nursery level, you can root cuttings, grow small plants or large plants with a number of hydroculture and hydroponic techniques; NFT, Flood & drain, Ebb & Flow, DWC and drip irrigation, even in combination.

Water pump
The water pump is the heart of the system, it circulates the water and nutrients to plant roots, and at the same time oxygenate the water. The water pump may be controlled by a timer or it can be left on continuously.
We use efficient, high-quality and low-noise water fountain pumps in the Supragarden system.
Hoses and Fittings
Supragarden® system includes a silicone hoses, flow regulator and plastic connectors to recycle water in the system. Flood & drain fittings are also included in order to adjust the water height on the Nursery level and also system include drip irrigation on Nursery level.
Stand support
Supragarden® system includes an aluminum stand support frame and connectors which allow the Supragarden system to be erected up to 4 Plantsteps high without external support. It is advisable, however, to attach the top of the Supragarden to a wall or a ceiling to prevent a accidental falling down due to children or pets. You can also attach plantsteps to wall or hang it from ceiling.
